More About the Zero Waste to Landfill Initiative

The National Park Service (NPS) is partnering with Subaru of America (SOA) and the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) to work together toward shared goals for zero landfill.  Grand Teton National Park, Denali and Yosemite National Parks are participating in a pilot study called the “Zero-Landfill Project”.  Through the coordinated development of sustainable solutions that target increased waste diversion,  NPS is optimistic that sustainable waste diversion and reduction strategies can be identified and modeled across all National Parks.
