Standardized Label for Metal Cans and Plastic Bottles & Jugs – Recycling Bin Label (4”x9”)

When metal cans and plastic containers are collected in the same bin, this standardized label provides the clear, visual guidance people need to recycle right. Designed for aluminum, steel, and tin cans, along with plastic bottles and jugs, this recycling bin label helps prevent confusion that often arises from packaging instructions that may not reflect local recycling rules. By showing exactly what’s accepted, it empowers users to sort accurately where it matters most: the bin.

Durable for both indoor and outdoor use, this label supports cleaner recycling streams and is trusted by schools, businesses, cities, and national parks. It’s part of the society-wide standardized labeling system for bins, carts, and dumpsters and is proven to reduce contamination and boost participation in recycling programs.

Information About the Label Material: These are high-tack, long-wearing, cleanable, adhesive labels printed on 3.4-mil flexible industrial vinyl. These labels adhere to polycarbonate, polyesters, polyethylenes, polypropylenes and most other clean and dry surfaces. They are created specifically to withstand custodial and industrial use.

Important: If you have Toter brand bins, labels do not adhere well to their bins. From the Toter manager of product development "Our carts have a textured surface and are made of polyethylene, which has a low surface energy. So most adhesive will not stick to them."
